Well, it looks like OpenAI is back at it again with the release of Point-E, the AI that generates 3D models like it's nobody's business! According to a recent paper, Point-E can crank out these models in just one to two minutes using a single Nvidia V100 GPU. And get this - they even open sourced the code base! So, what exactly can we expect from this groundbreaking technology? Well, it's safe to say that model-synthesizing AI is about to shake up the industry in a major way. Think about it - 3D models are used all over the film and TV industry, and now with Point-E, creating them will be a breeze. And let's not forget about all the potential applications for AR and marketing. It's clear that OpenAI is always one step ahead of the game! (link)

It looks like the AI Hack Week in SF this week was full of innovative and exciting projects that give us a glimpse into the future of the market. One project, called Drip, allows you to upload a few photos of your face and a video of yourself doing something, and then generates a video of your AI avatar doing the same thing. This kind of technology is great for VTubers, or YouTubers who use a virtual avatar to interact with their audiences. Another hack, called Wand, is a sketching app that allows you to draw anything on a virtual canvas and then prompts Stable Diffusion to replace your hand-drawn sketch with a higher fidelity AI-generated version. And of course, there were plenty of hacks designed to bring Github Copilot-like functionality to solve various problems - including a journaling hack to help with writing and pattern recognition, and an AI-assisted LinkedIn outreach bot to make recruiting easier. It's clear that the future is bright for AI!
