🔦 Let me tell you, Andrew NG and I are seeing eye to eye not once but twice this week! Can you believe it?
Firstly, Andrew emphasizes that even with all the hype around generative AI, supervised learning is where the real value lies in the short term. I couldn't agree more, and that's exactly what I am teaching in my live masterclass in Jersey today. Because let's face it, predicting customer behavior through supervised learning equals direct ROI.
Secondly, I completely concur with Andrew when he reminds us not to let media buzz overshadow our work. Sure, being inspired by ChatGPT, is fabulous, but don't make life-altering decisions based on FOMO, folks (Link).
🔦 OpenAI unveils its “roadmap to artificial general intelligence.”(Link)
🔦 A group of 10 companies, including OpenAI, TikTok, Adobe, the BBC, and the dating app Bumble, have signed up to a new set of guidelines on how to build, create, and share AI-generated content responsibly (Link). Research in ways to tell users when they’re interacting with something that’s been generated by AI. This might include watermarks or disclaimers, or traceable elements in an AI model’s training data or metadata.
The European Union, is trying to include generative AI in its upcoming AI law, the AI Act, which could include elements such as disclosing when people are interacting with deepfakes and obligating companies to meet certain transparency requirements.
